We are part of the One Book One Community Program and once a year we come together to read and discuss the works of our favorite authors. Lake Travis Reads is composed of three libraries in the Lake Travis area - Bee Cave Public Library, Lake Travis Community Library and, Spicewood Community Library.
One Book One Community Program

OBOC is a community-wide reading program.  People from all walks of life are encouraged to read and discuss important issues raised by a common reading experience. A variety of community partners collaborate to bring the area interesting programming and events throughout the year that compliment the books selected. The point of One Book One Community is to provide readers with a shared reading experience that leads to open dialogue. Anyone can participate. Pick up the current book at your local library or bookstore and get reading!

Join the Steering Committee!

Anyone interested in joining the steering committee for next year's Lake Travis Reads, and helping to choose the book or author the community will read in the upcoming year is encouraged to contact any of the three libraries. For more information, please contact Barbara Hathaway at Bee Cave Public Library at (512) 767-6620; Morgan McMillian at Lake Travis Community Library at (512) 263-2885; or Tori Leggett at the Spicewood Community Library at (830) 693-7892.
